Accessible Yoga Conference, Santa Barbara, California, September 12-13 2015. In this video, Keynote Speaker Matthew Sanford, Rev. Sam Rudra Swartz, Dianne Bondy and Jivana Heyman speak about the importance of Accessible Yoga for participants, teachers and therapists. The Accessible Yoga Conference's mission is to provide a forum where the Yoga community can come together to connect, share, and support those who wish to expand access to the Yoga teachings for people with disabilities, chronic illness, seniors, and anyone who doesn't feel comfortable in a regular yoga class. Please Join us next year and find out more at www.accessibleyoga.org
From 1973 to 2003 the Santa Barbara Writers Conference hosted literary giants such as Ray Bradbury, Charles Schulz and Eudora Welty to further its mission to foster new writers, some of whom became bestselling authors including Fannie Flagg, Catherine Ryan Hyde and Gayle Lynds.
I'm here with my tribe at the Yoga and Body Image Coalition at the first annual Accessible Yoga Conference in Santa Barbara. Documenting our travels on our journey. We are on our way to making yoga more accessible, inclusive, and available to all beings. Your body is a yoga body regardless of what society and mainstream yoga culture says. It doesn't matter how able to or disabled our beautiful bodies are, or how fat or thin it is, or how flexible we are. Remember your body is a yoga body! Join us at the YBIC photo booth and take a picture with us! We show the world our bodies belong and are beautiful!
James McAvoy, Casey Affleck, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page and Amy Ryan received the 2007 Virtuoso Awards at the Santa Barbara Film Festival. There are a few jumps and some bits of the conference are missing, so don't be surprised if the video is confusing at times! Sorry for that...

Pour on the rum on the wound
And send kisses through a postcard
The winter has come
Straight to the bones
Wile you're still rubbing your eyes
Let the wax dry on the pulps
Prayers are becoming courses
Salt-away heart/cuttlebone knife
...nobody loves as i love you tonight!
Far away from here
Where the sky is getting clear
The blueberries float
In the outdoor washtubs
And my hampered fingers
As a compass without a needle
It will never end
Looking for your hands
Over the foam of the waves
The tail of the whale
Over and over
